was the buddha ever confused?

according to the traditional account,
he was born perfectly pure, ,
took seven steps on the blooming lotuses,
declared his enlightenment in that very life time.
he was born to be "the Buddha".

he was predicted to be "the one" by the Brahman.
he was a special kid,
a talented young man,
a spiritually gifted shramana.

it sounds like he didn't have to do anything to become the Buddha.
everything went--just smoothly--no obstables, no mistakes, no confusions.

is it really true?
was the buddha ever felt lonely or confused?
did he have any doubt in his mind in the path he was in?
was he scared?

when i see sufferings in others,
i would like to take them as mine,
i would like to feel,
i would like to wear their shoes,
i would like to be helpful.

now that i have finally realized that i can't,
that no one can help anyone.
and no one can be helped by anyone.
i found myself in dark depression.
since that "I" is still there--wants to be helpful.
how arrogant!

how about kill that "I"?
and leave suffering just like that.
see, feel,
and respect all karmas of yourself and others,
...one taste.

everything will all be gone,
if it's conditional.

but what you do is unconditional,
and unconventional.

let yourself rest in the groundless ground.
let yourself trust, open, and love fully.
let all go until you become the living force--the flow of changes--the being truly alive.

then you will become the path
and the path will become you.

my journey is always like a dream.
people come and go.
whenever i expect to get something beyond a dream,
i feel sad coz i know that there might not be such a thing.

then, i come back and smile to my very good dream,
the dream that makes me so awake through the night--
--ready to experience daylight at dawn.

มหาตมะ คานธีเขียนไว้ในหนังสือเชิงอัตชีวประวัติของท่านเรื่อง “The Story of My Experiments with Truth” เมื่อปีค.ศ. 1925 ภาษาอังกฤษสำนวนดั้งเดิมที่โด่งดังไปทั่วโลกเขียนไว้สละสลวยมากดังนี้

ท่านอาจารย์กรุณา - เรืองอุไร กุศลาสัย ปราชญ์ไทยผู้เชี่ยวชาญภารตวิทยาและภาษาฮินดี แปลหนังสือเล่มนี้ไว้เป็นภาษาไทยว่า “ข้าพเจ้าทดลองความจริง : อัตชีวประวัติของมหาตมะ คานธี” พิมพ์รวมเล่มครั้งแรกเมื่อปี 2525 ตอนท้ายเล่มได้ถอดความ “บาป 7 ประการในทัศนะคานธี” ไว้เป็นภาษาไทย
